Thank goodness, Google recently made Android mirroring by using Chromecast. This big announcement was actually made at this recent Google I/O, and now it becomes a reality. Just like other Google product and new features, this mirroring with Chromecast app is obviously in beta version and support only  a specific list of devices. At the moment, this supported device list consists of newer and older devices. Here’s the list of supported devices.

How To Mirror Android Device On TV Using Chromecast App

Please note that:

  • Android OS 4.4.2 or higher required
  • Casting your mobile screen is currently in Beta.
  • Casting your mobile screen is currently not supported on iOS devices.
  • At this time, Casting your mobile screen is only supported on the Android devices listed above.

So how can you cast your Android device or tablet to your TV? It is very simple unlike you imagine.

  • Your device and Chromecast should be connected with same Wi-Fi network.
  • Open up the Chromecast app.
  • From navigation drawer (available in left side slide pull out menu), select “Cast Screen”.
  • Tap the “Cast Screen” button.
  • Select the Chromecast you would like to use

And finally your device screen will appear on you TV screen.

To stop Android screen casting:

From notification drawer:

  • Go-to notification drop-down menu of Android device.
  • And on notification bar Select “Disconnect.

From Chromecast app:

  • Launch the Chromecast App.
  • From left side navigation drawer (pull out menu), select the “Cast Screen”.
  • And tap on “Disconnect” button.
