And today, it gets even better. The new launch, which delivers the app to ver 3.3, contributes a number of new functions such as in-app film ticket buying (currently for US customers only) Amazon Cellular incorporation for movie purchases.

IMDb, or Internet Movie Database, is one of the biggest websites containing the most large database of films and relevant details, such as story describes, trivia, fan boards, artist biographies and much more. The website is so popular that it has applications for almost every significant smart phone and tablet platforms, with one of the best versions being the one for Apple’s iOS environment.

The upgrade, which drives the app’s ver to 3.3, has been rolled out to all iTunes App Shops for all nations, and provides the following formal change log:

* “Tickets, please!” You can now conveniently purchase movie tickets via the IMDb App (currently US-only).
* More bios for celebrities you know and love as well as for up-and-comers.
* Want to buy a movie or TV show on DVD or Blu-ray? “Search via Amazon Mobile” to the rescue. Requires that you have the Amazon Mobile app, but we provide a handy link if you don’t have it yet.
* Also, did you know you can tap the “Coming Soon” bar above the title on upcoming movies to add the release date as an event to your calendar?
* Bug fixes. Nasty tricksy bugsies. We hates them!

You’ll really like the new ticket-purchasing feature. As predicted, it’s operated by Fandango, but everything is done in-app. Other in-app ticket-purchasing implementations, such as in Siri, causes you into the real Fandango app to finish dealings.

The new Amazon Cellular incorporation is also awesome. Let us say you want to buy a film on DVD/Blu-ray, simply type it into the search bar and choose the Search via Amazon Mobile option. You can basically discover and buy material within a few faucets.
