A couple of days back Apple introduced and released iOS 8 to the entire world, the very first iOS beta of new iOS firmware has been jailbroken already, yes iOS 8 jailbreak by iOS hacker I0n1c. When hacker I0n1c tweeted a image demonstrating a 5th generation iPod Touch jailbreaked running on new iOS 8 beta.
Of course i0n1c performed, as he already jailbreaked iOS 7.1.1 recently, the most recent public firmware of iOS 7, plus in this situation, it is more possible that he used the identical kernel exploit just as previous one.
iOS 8 Jailbreak By iOS Hacker I0n1c
As I0n1c managed to SSH into beta 1 of iOS 8 on his 5th gen iPod Touch while using Mac. To SSH into any iOS gadget, it requires a device which is already jailbroken. He doesn’t submit any image of his iPod Touch or even Cydia running on iOS 8. Most likely for the reason that he had recently stated that he is not confident that Cydia will likely to run on new iOS 8.
The OS version: 12A4265u found in above image is actually the version of iOS 8 beta. And clearly you can observe that I0n1c managed to get access of the root directory using the path “private/var/mobile” on his iPod Touch. And in some tweet, the hacker i0n1c verifies that it is actually a 5th gen iPod touch:
We are uncertain if he’ll release this new jailbreak or not, as previously he said that he would not release the jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1. Even so, this is certainly some awesome job perform by this hacker and hopefully he will get a complete jailbreak for iOS 8 firmware as well.
