People who are facing some issue with their jailbreak, and not able to troubleshoot, then here we are demonstrating exactly how to restore iOS 10.2 without having to update to latest version, or losing jailbreak capability.

First off all take full device backup, it is very important to take backup because doing anything like that can go wrong so it better to have something in your hands. In this guide, we are going to restore to a fresh firmware, so all your data will be erased which means you do need an iCloud or iTunes backup of data.

  • Once backup is completed, launch Cydia Installer app on your device. After launching the app, go-to Sources–> Edit and then tap on Add button. Type following URL http://coolstar.org/publicrepo and hit Add Source
  • Now again go-to Sources–> Edit and then tap on Add button. Type following URL http://repo.jailbreakhub.org and hit Add Source to add another repository
  • Now within Cydia tap on Search and search package called Stashing. Shortly you’ll find a package named Stashing for iOS 9.2 – 10.2. Just install it.
  • Now go into Sources tab and tap on the recently added jailbreakhub source, then hit on All Packages. Just scroll-down to find a package called OSRestoreX. After installing this package you will be able to erase the necessary files. While doing this your will find some yellow and red text before erasing Cydia, Cydia will be erased even though you will still see the app icon on Home screen.
  • Now from device Settings app go-to General –> Reset –> Erase All Content & Settings. Select Erase iPhone and then Erase iPhone again.

Once you have done, a stock iPhone setup screen will be there, so just follow on-screen instructions to setup the device. It is important to know that still you are standing on same iOS firmware but in stock state without losing jailbreak ability as you are on same firmware version which you were previously jailbroken. In other words the firmware is ready to fresh jailbreak again.
