Jailbreaking the iOS devices gives many advantages that usually are not possible on device which is not jailbreak in fact, despite the fact that there are sometimes some bugs which may be found on the way. One issue that people have confronted with iOS 7 jailbreak is the status bar going black and Overlapping in the stock apps such as Camera, Calculator, Weather and Photos. This is a frustrating issue that was problem for every one until this morning, when we found the StatusBarFix2 tweak for fixing iOS 7 status bar overlap issue with Evasi0n7 jailbreak.
This status bar bug is brought on by Cydia relocating the stock apps location, and StatusBarFix2 handles this issue. This little jailbreak tweak is absolutely safe, because it makes no such changes in iOS filesystem which is permanent, this can easily be un-installed from Cydia without any side effects. Just for when that your own iOS 7 device status bug denies to fix itself, a couple of extra trouble-shooting steps have been specified by the developer pNre of this tweak.
Fixing iOS 7 Status Bar Overlap Issue With Evasi0n7 Jailbreak
The package outline official flows as follows:
1. Open the app (e.g. Stocks).
2. Connect via SSH to your device.
3. Run (in the SSH shell): killall -9 Stocks (if the app is Stocks)
4. Stocks closes.
5. Reopen it.
6. Bug gone.
The StatusBarFix2, hyping an amazing 25,000 number of download, and supports all the devices running on iOS 7 (include beta 3). The tweak isn’t available on the default repository, so you’ll have to add the “repo.pnre.co.vu” to Cydia sources by just tapping on Manage -> Sources -> Edit -> Add. Soon after, this package will be shown as a free download. The actual source code is accessible on GitHub.
Users would definitely prefer not to go ahead through such steps after doing the successful jailbreak. With that in mind, as devices turn out to be more and more complicated, and as Apple still put internal mechanisms to prevent acquiring the root status, it is easy to understand that little problems such as this will keep occur.
