How To Install AFC2, OpenSSH On Jailbroken iOS 8.3 Device

For people who don’t know, basically the OpenSSH and AFC2 (also known as Apple File Conduit) are two different packages, which allow you to get things ready for root access. The fact is that iOS 8.3 jailbreak with TaiG doesn’t add AFC2 or OpenSSH support automatically, but open the way to install these packages. To browse your iOS device file system on your own computer you just to follow this simple guide.

Steps to install AFC2:

  • Launch Cydia
  • From Cydia main screen just tap on “Sources → Edit → Add
  • To add TaiG’s repo type apt.taig.com, and then hit Add Source
  • At the bottom of screen hit “Search” and then type TaiG AFC2 and install it
  • Once installed, you need to respring your jailbroken device
  • That’s it the AFC2 is installed on your device and now can use tools such as iFunbox to access the file system of your device.

Steps to install OpenSSH:

  • Launch Cydia
  • At the bottom of screen hit “Search” and then type OpenSSH
  • Hit Install and then Confirm buttons in order to download and install the OpenSSH package on your jailbroken iOS 8.3 device
  • That’s it the OpenSSH is installed on your device and now can use tools such as Cyberduck and WinSCP on Wi-Fi network to get root access.
